I’m Aly! I photograph mainly weddings and I specialize in film photography, still offering a hybrid digital approach for my couples. I’m located in Richmond, Virginia and Brooklyn, New York City but I travel for the right couples and weddings. I am an introvert so my approach to photographs tends to be gentler and quieter than most; I am certainly not your hype girl. I’m a guest on your wedding day, in some ways the guest of honor because I am privy to the most intimate parts of your day: getting dressed, private vows, tears both good and bad because weddings hold both joy and grief. I do my best to read a room and know when to step back while still letting my intuition of when to take the photo guide me, believing it’s better to ask for forgiveness than ask for permission.
