the thing about my relationship to film photography is that you could take away every inquiry in my inbox, cancel every wedding and session you have booked with me— never to book again, and i’d still be madly in love with this craft, this medium, this part of my life. it has never been about the money for me, though being able to work for myself has been the biggest blessing that came from the day i decided to pick up cameras.
when you hire me, you’re getting the biggest photography nerd in the entire world. my relationship to my cameras, my photo books, my youtube documentary rabbit holes, my neighborhood photo walks, the work i print, the camera(s) i always have in my purse, the magic of instant film & polaroid, it all means so much to me. the conversations old men start with me in the grocery store line because of the camera tattoos on my hands, the teenager who stops me when i’m out shooting solo and tells me what a cool camera it is— as an introvert the conversation this craft has brought me is reward enough. the fact that other people want to hire me to photograph their wedding, their engagement, their elopement, this time in their life — is the biggest bonus in the world. feeling so so lucky everyday that i found photography. career or not, it’s simply the best. and it’s the best of me.

It's an intrinsic part of who I am. It's the way I see the world, the way I express myself, and the thread that weaves through every chapter of my life.
