MAYMONT PARK ELOPEMENT (ON 35MM FILM)
Rhea and Sam had already chosen Maymont Park for their elopement when they first contacted me about photographing it. Maymont Park is special to them, so I was thrilled we were going to photograph the elopement somewhere sentimental to them. They skipped out on a traditional officiate, instead opting to have the civil celebrant they found just sign the necessary paperwork with them inside the Richmond courthouse, which unfortunately does not allow cameras. So, they did the damn thing, a classic courthouse elopement — and then we ran off to Maymont Park for the new bride and groom’s 35mm portraits.
