Frankie and Sam invited me to photograph their elopement in Maine, just them, a photographer, and their officiate. Unfortunately the dates they were eloping just didn’t work out for me, so they went ahead and eloped without me and without a photographer. When they returned back to Washington D.C., they emailed me asking if I’d photograph them in their wedding attire, at the park they shared their first date, in place of the wedding photos they’d missed out on. I said hell yes. So I traveled from Richmond to Washington D.C., and met them there. Their elopement was full film, I didn’t even bring a digital camera with me. I used a mix of 120 medium format film and 35mm film for their session. Here are some of my favorites from our sunset-to-dusk time together.
